Philosophy
of Education
I believe children learn best
when they are actively engaged in hands on activities making personal connections and relating with the content. I want to
help children become critical thinkers, problem-solvers, and passionate life-long learners. I believe this is best achieved
in a positive environment that focuses and accommodates the child’s strengths while addressing their needs. I believe
that children live in the moment and their learning is directly connected to their emotions.
Children learn in social settings and allowing the student to work cooperatively with others is essential skill building
for their future. Children learn in a variety of ways that need to be accessed
and utilized for the optimal experience in the classroom. I want to be the teacher that helps each child succeed in their
educational journey as well as in their personal fulfillment.
Philosophy
of Management
I believe
children behave best in a classroom that fosters individuality, creativity, and positivity.
Creating an environment that allows children to work at the level that challenges them enough to learn and still succeed
reduces behavioral problems. The classroom should also be organized in a way that enhances learning and student independence.
Students must feel safe and comfortable in their learning environment. The classroom is a learning community where each citizen
is treated with respect for their input, ideas and opinions.
