Reflection:
I have to admit how very nervous I was about todays performance. I have never been comfortable in front of a group of people and my nerves were basically shot! However, all this said, I did get up there, THANK GOODNESS we were the first up, because I don't think I would have been able to handle the pressure.  Sarah and I adapted a poem, "I'm Gonna Tell" to semi-act out, and I think we did a fantastic job.
It was alot of fun practicing and coming up with ideas, I do wish there was more time to rehearse though. All the other performers did a wonderful job as well, and I enjoyed the show from the side. At the end, when we all came together to do the exceprt from James and the Giant Peach, I got so flusttered but made it through. I know I messed it up, but I just kept trucking, and stepped back.
This was definitely a unique experience and now that it is done, glad that we did it. I liked that the audience was sooo small! But overall I think the class deserves a round of applause for a job well done!

Adapted from Rosalie Sorrels “I’m Gonna Tell”

S      I’m gonna tell

K           I’m gonna tell

S       I’m gonna holler and I’m gonna yell

K           I’ll get you in trouble for everything you do

     S & K           I’m gonna tell on you!

S      I’m gonna tell how you broke the plate

K           I’ll tell about all the candy you ate

S       I’ll tell on you one time

K            I’ll tell on you two

S&K           I’m gonna tell on you!

S      I’m gonna tell ‘bout where you hid your gum

K           I’m gonna tell that you still suck your thumb

S      I’m gonna tell about the cat and the glue

S&K           I’m gonna tell on you!

S      I’m gonna tell ’bout where you hid the broom

S      so you wouldn’t have to clean your room

S      and when Mama finds out, she’ll sweep it with you

S&K           I’m gonna tell on you!

K           I’m gonna tell how you punched me and bit me

K           and I’m gonna tell how you socked me and hit me

K           But I’m not gonna tell Mama what I did to you

S&K            I’m gonna tell on you!

S      I’m gonna holler and I’m gonna bawl

S      And she’s gonna smash you all over the wall

K           well when Daddy comes home, I’ll tell him too

S&K           I’m gonna tell on you!

S     MOM!!!!

K          DAD!!!
